Title: Cognitive Physics and The New Horizon of Knowledge
Abstract: We study the world from first principles. One of the most dominant first principles in science is reductionism; we assume that the building blocks of things are more fundamental than the things they make. But what if the Universe doesn’t follow this principle? What if the different levels of emergence are not stacked on one another but are an expression of the same principle across different domains of existence? What if what precedes something is less important than what becomes possible once something exists?
This presentation will explore this idea and show that reframing what we believe ourselves to be might be a fundamental component of the physical story of the Universe.
